Why Do Dogs Tilt Their Heads?? That's an excellent question! The simple answer is because they purposely do it to amuse us. The complicated answer is due to physiology. Okay, if you read this far, then I should just say that no, they don't purposely do it to amuse us; I just just kidding ;).
People have suggested that dogs tilt their heads because:
- They're trying to hear better
- They're trying to understand us
- They can't see our faces easily
- We've taught them to do it
